Our Services

Veterinary Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of integrative veterinary therapy. It works by stimulating the nervous system through needle insertion, causing a series of reactions that help with pain relief and healing.

At Balance Bites, we offer several forms of acupuncture, including:

  • Traditional Dry Needling

  • Electrostimulation

We provide Melbourne veterinary acupuncture for both cats and dogs. This therapy is especially effective for pets with chronic pain, joint problems or neurological conditions.

Veterinary Nutrition

At Balance Bites, we offer expert Melbourne veterinary nutrition services to help optimise your pet's diet. Whether you're looking to improve your pet's current nutrition or need personalised plans, we are here to guide you.

We believe the most important health decision we can make for your pet is what goes into their food bowl. Natural nutrition leads to healthier, happier pets. With our expert guidance, we can provide your companions with the nourishment they deserve. Whether you're looking for a trusted dog nutritionist in Melbourne to improve your pet’s diet, or expert guidance from a cat nutritionist to manage specific health concerns, we’re here to help. Ready to make the change?

CBD Consultation

While CBD is generally safe for pets, it’s important to consult with a veterinarian before adding any new supplements or medications to your pet's routine. Dr. Tristan, a registered veterinarian, has years of experience in general practice and alternative health services for conditions like chronic pain, anxiety and other disorders.

Palliative Care

At Balance Bites, we specialise in providing compassionate veterinary palliative care in Melbourne for pets with serious illnesses such as cancer. Our focus is on improving your pet’s quality of life by managing pain, discomfort and other symptoms.

In addition to traditional treatments, we offer integrative approaches like herbal medicine, diet therapy and acupuncture to slow disease progression and support overall well-being. For pets needing support during end-of-life stages, we provide pet palliative care in Melbourne to ensure their comfort and dignity.

The Results

“Dr Tristan was knowledgeable and dedicated to finding the right balance to meet my dog's specific needs and my preparation/feeding preferences. As an added bonus, Houdini loves his new meals and wolfs them down.”

veterinary formulated diet in melbourne

We engaged Tristan for Marley's palliative care program because we trusted him following his help with a diet to manage Marley's kidney disease. Tristan has been amazing this whole time with suggestions of a combination of natural and pharmaceutical medicines we can give Marley to try and slow the cancer growth, boost his immune system and help him with his breathing. I have had issues trying to get medication into Marley and also with his eating at times, Tristan has been there for me every time with suggestions and support. I can't recommend him enough as a support for going through this difficult time. He has a wealth of knowledge to share to help keep your fur baby as well as possible for as long as possible, which is the ultimate goal. In addition, Tristan was the one who picked up on the increase in white blood cells, which other vets had overlooked. If not for that, Marley could have gone undiagnosed for much longer. Marley is still living his best life and has even improved since initial diagnosis. We hope to keep him happy for as long as we can.

“We are so grateful to have Tristan come and do home visits. My kelpie Summer has bulging discs and spondylosis, she is so much more relaxed at home with her brother and sister by her side (and Dr. Tristan who she trusts as he has such a calming nature). The accupuncture has really helped her hind end strength! Added bonus, Tristan is so knowledgeable about holistic AND normal western Veterinary care.”
